The Outdoor Plus Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy

Introduction

The Outdoor Plus™ has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and high perceived value. To maintain this standard and protect the integrity of our brand, we require all resellers to adhere to our Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy.

Failing to comply with the MAP policy can significantly diminish the perceived value of The Outdoor Plus™ brands and products. The global reach of the internet amplifies this risk, as advertising below MAP can harm legitimate retail competition and devalue our products across markets.

This MAP policy is not only intended to protect our brand but also to ensure a fair marketplace where consumers can confidently purchase based on reseller loyalty and exceptional customer experiences.

Purpose of MAP Policy

The MAP Policy requires all retailers, resellers, and distributors to advertise The Outdoor Plus™ products at or above the established minimum advertised price. This applies to all forms of advertising including but not limited to, print ads, digital ads, social media, and third-party marketplaces. The MAP pricing list will be updated periodically, and it is the retailer’s responsibility to stay informed of any changes.

Advertising Guidelines

The Outdoor Plus requires all resellers to comply with specific advertising guidelines to ensure consistency and adherence to the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy. Retailers are not permitted to stack additional promotions or discounts on top of promotions initiated by The Outdoor Plus. Any promotions, sale, or discount involving The Outdoor Plus products must be pre-approved in writing. Furthermore, when the Outdoor Plus runs a Promotional Minimum Advertised Price (PMAP) campaign, resellers are authorized to advertise below the MAP price but must not go below the PMAP set for the promotion. PMAP campaigns are time-sensitive and only valid for the duration specified by The Outdoor Plus. Any deviation from these terms constitutes a violation of the MAP Policy.

It is strictly prohibited for resellers to apply unauthorized discounts, run unapproved promotions, or misrepresent The Outdoor Plus products through false advertising. Resellers are encouraged to communicate directly with The Outdoor Plus for clarity on any promotional opportunities to ensure compliance.

These guidelines are essential to preserving The Outdoor Plus’s brand image and ensure fair and competitive marketplace. Violations of these advertising standards will be considered a breach of the MAP Policy and may result in enforcement actions, including account suspension or termination.

Policy Violations

The Outdoor Plus™ enforces this policy through a three-strike system:
1. First Strike: Retailers found in violation of the MAP Policy will receive a written notice and will have 72hrs to correct the issue.

2. Second Strike: A second violation will result in another written notice, with a further 72 hour period to address the problem.

3. Third Strike: Upon a third violation, The Outdoor Plus™ reserves the right to terminate the reseller’s account. This includes canceling any pending orders, restricting future orders, and suspending the reseller’s account. The reseller will also be added to a Do Not Sell List, which is shared with all distributors.

Enforcement and Compliance

The Outdoor Plus™ reserves the right to take immediate action if it believes a reseller has violated the provisions of MAP Policy. These actions may include canceling pending orders, restricting new orders, or suspending the reseller’s account. Violators who are placed on the Do Not Sell List will lose access to The Outdoor Plus™ product permanently and will be ineligible to work with the brand in the future.

Benefits of Compliance

The Outdoor Plus MAP Policy is designed to create a fair and competitive marketplace that benefits resellers and strengthens the overall brand. Compliance ensures that all resellers partners can operate on a level playing field, maintaining stable profit margins and fostering healthy business relationships. Adhering to the MAP Policy demonstrates a commitment to professionalism and supports long-term partnership with The Outdoor Plus.
